Winter Activities

Winter is here! And with it comes the perfect time for some winter activities that will keep you active and safe. If hiking, snowshoeing or cross country skiing sound appealing, but don’t know where to start – we’ve got everything right here.

Training for winter can be tough but it’s worth the struggle! Hiking is not just a summer activity, it’s also a winter activity. It’s actually really beneficial if you’re looking to stay fit and make your body stronger in cooler weather conditions where there are more opportunities than warmer ones at hand, plus hiking has been proven as an excellent way of relieving stress too (plus we all need some time off from work). If you want to know how hiking in colder weather can keep your blood flowing and make it easier for some adventurous fun (and learn some new skills), we’ve got all the tips!

With the season changing to winter, snowshoeing is something you might be thinking about doing one of your new winter activities! We want you get out there and have fun but most importantly be safe while enjoying your new winter activities.

Maybe you have always wanted to try cross county skiing and with you new found love of the outdoors and nature you are ready to get out there and try.

Whatever your reason is, winter brings with it a whole new adventure! I like to do some of my favorite summer hikes in the winter as well. You get a whole new perspective and appreciation in the different seasons.
